Mitra Malekafzaly, a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in training

She’s a graduate from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and minor in sociology. Her appreciation for mental health began with her own journey where she discovered her emotions and reflections through self-portraits.

Coming from a bicultural background, she found her voice in advocating to normalize opening the conversation about mental health, bringing it to the forefront just as physical health when it comes to understanding that our mind and body are connected as one.
